Editorial policy
Coastal Garden Review aims to make its garden writing clear, considered and worth returning to. We take care with claims, distinguish general guidance from context-dependent details and make our publishing choices visible to readers.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against suitable information before publication and avoid presenting a broad gardening idea as a guarantee for every coastal site. Where conditions matter, we say so. Our articles are general editorial information, not a substitute for observing the particular garden in front of you.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for relevance to the publication and its readers. A commercial relationship does not buy an unlabelled recommendation or determine an editorial conclusion. We aim to describe products, materials and approaches in measured terms.
Corrections
If a reader spots a factual error or unclear passage, they can contact us with the article title and the detail at issue. We review correction requests and amend published material when warranted, making the change clear where appropriate.
Partners and illustrations
Paid, gifted or otherwise commercially arranged material is identified clearly so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial writing. Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence; where used, they are labelled as AI-generated and are not presented as documentary photographs.
Let the place lead the planting
A coastal garden is more than a view of the sea. Its wind, light, ground and shelter each leave a mark worth noticing.
