Coastal Garden Review

Write for us

Coastal Garden Review welcomes pitches from writers who can bring a clear eye and a grounded idea to coastal gardens. We are interested in useful, well-shaped contributions that help readers understand a place, a plant choice or a design decision without treating every shoreline as the same.

What we welcome

Pitch reported explainers, comparisons, garden histories, seasonal observations and practical articles about coastal conditions, plants, layout or materials. Strong ideas have a defined reader question, a distinct angle and a useful takeaway that does not rely on unsupported claims or one-size-fits-all advice.

What to include

Use the Contact page to send a short proposal describing the subject, the central idea, why it suits Coastal Garden Review and how you would approach it. Include a brief note about relevant experience or previous work if useful, but do not send a finished article unless requested.

Editorial approach

We look for accurate, original writing in a calm, concrete voice. Pitches should explain any important limits or local differences, avoid promotional framing and make clear whether the idea depends on access, images or other material. Sending a proposal does not guarantee publication.

A point of view

Let the place lead the planting

A coastal garden is more than a view of the sea. Its wind, light, ground and shelter each leave a mark worth noticing.
